The art of mosaics has a long history dating back 5000 years, and despite swings in popularity its appeal has endured to this day and we still have many fine examples of historic mosaics thanks to the durability of the materials used. Today we still follow the same methods to create mosaics, but we now have a huge variety of materials we can use – recycled materials, found objects, etc.
