Tell Me on a Sunday - Workshop

Event information

When ordinary people stand up and tell true tales about their lives, the honesty, humour, warmth, vulnerability and sadness in those stories makes a human connection unlike any other art form. Tell Me On A Sunday champions the craft of this true-life storytelling, drawing people together through the telling of tales. Cat Weatherill, 'one of our great storytellers' (Michael Morpurgo, War Horse author), leads a fun and unpretentious personal storytelling workshop for anyone tempted by the idea of telling a true-tale but who does not know where to begin, looking at how to find your story, shape it, and present it. Cat then curates an amazing evening which sees a special guest teller and workshop participants share their brilliant true-tales weird, wonderful, poignant, inspiring straight from the heart, live on stage. A truly empowering experience. Cat has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the land, including the South Bank Centre and the Barbican Pit in London, and St David's Hall in Cardiff, and collaborated with the mighty folkband Bellowhead. Workshop places 20; performance is Pay What You Can. Ages: 15+ Sat 14 Oct 10am 4pm: Workshop Sun 15 Oct 6pm: Performance Kenilworth Books CV8 1JB Workshop tickets available from:
