Kate has released six albums, sold out the Festival Hall, toured internationally at arts and music festivals and appeared regularly on national radio. She has just released a critically acclaimed album Songbirds for which the accompanying live stage show gained a 4* review from The Times on opening night in February 2016. Her new live show “Songbirds tells a personal story about finding her own voice through singing the stories of others and is touring the UK, New York and Edinburgh in 2017 and beyond. The album was also Album of the Week in The Mail on Sunday, was reviewed in The Guardian and Sunday Times and there was a half page interview with Kate in The Telegraph about the new show and album. Kate’s critically acclaimed live shows (Who is Dory Previn?, I’m a Woman, Music to Watch Boys By and Fever! The Making of Peggy Lee) all devised and produced by her in collaboration with “One Man Two Guvnors director Cal McCrystal and writers (Amy Rosenthal, Emma and Beth Kilcoyne and Lucy Powell) have become a trademark for a unique blend of singing, storytelling and entertainment. The new show Songbirds has been directed by Kate Carmichael of Bristol based Theatre Damfino.
