Fringe Early Bird deadline looming!

We have over 60 entries to this year’s Fringe with more coming in every day! Our early birds are benefitting from early publicity and a heavily discounted entry fee: just £55 if you enter before the end of February! See What’s On for full details of an already enticing programme of entertainment!

How to get onboard…

See Take Part for full details on how to enter. If you are thinking of entering, be sure to sort everything out with your chosen venue first – see our venues list for information and contact details.

Note, the managed venue Underground, celebrating its 20th year, has announced that it will be back at Spring Gardens. It will also be creating a brand new 100-seat performance space at Buxton Working Men’s Club! See https://underthefringe.com/ to find out how you can apply.

Remember, anyone can enter the Fringe! The entry fees are as follows:
£55 – until end February
£77 – March 1st-31st
£88 – from April 1st

Sunday April 20th is the deadline to appear in the printed programme.

It’s a Fringe! The Fringe podcast team has taken to YouTube to offer some valuable tips for would-be entrants. Check it out here.

Fringe Springboard Invitation

Everyone is welcome at our Springboard event at the Pump Room opposite the Crescent on Saturday April 12th for an evening of socialising and mini-performances from 7-9pm – all designed to mark the changing season and promote the Fringe’s forthcoming festival in July. There will be party food, and drinks will be available to buy from the Pump Room Bar. The venue will be decorated with orange flowers and performers are invited to incorporate the theme of spring into their acts.

Performers – please contact events@buxtonfringe.org.uk as soon as possible if you are interested in taking part.

Flyers

Look out for our brand new flyer featuring a sneak preview of our winning Fringe programme cover design from talented High Peak Artist David Steeden. Maybe you could display one as a mini-poster? Read more about our fantastic competition winner. See our gallery of shortlisted entries to this exclusive competition held for artists from Peak District Artisans, High Peak Artists and The Green Man Gallery. Many thanks to those who entered.

Hold the date

Our Programme Party for the Fringe will be at the Pump Room opposite the Crescent on Saturday June 7th from 7-9pm. Everyone is invited!

Fringe Friends

See our Friends page for details of all the benefits of this important loyalty scheme. Why not sign up now if you have yet to do so?

Thanks to all our existing Fringe Friends who have already transferred their standing order to our new bank account (A/C No 67356645 Sort Code 08-92-99), with the revised rate of £15 single or £25 joint membership where two people live at the same address. Let us know if you have any queries on this.

You can also donate on a one-off basis.

Dining survey

Our friends at Vision Buxton are trying to determine the demand for post-theatre dining during the festival and have created a short survey. Please complete it even if you are not interested so that VB can register as many results as possible. The deadline for completion is Wednesday 19th March 2025.

Volunteer!

As you may know, all of us on the Fringe committee are volunteers. You can read how we have been switching roles recently in a fascinating behind-the-scenes Fringe blog going behind the scenes at the Fringe!

If you would like to come onto the committee, or just go on a list of people we can call upon for help during the Fringe itself, please reply to this message.
