District Musicians CIC is a professional Music in Healthcare company specialising in creating music for and with people living with dementia.

Founded in 2018 by musicians Sophie Fishwick and Nick Davis, District Musicians was born out of their shared passion for using music to improve the lives of people living with dementia.
 
Sophie and Nick first met in 2017 during an apprenticeship with Opus Music CIC, a pioneering organization in the UK known for its innovative approach to integrating music into healthcare settings.

Today, Sophie and Nick bring their music-making sessions to people living with dementia wherever they are—whether at home, in the community, in hospitals, or in residential care facilities.

  • Specialist Music Sessions for People Living with Dementia Music To Your Door - Home visit sessions where we bring music directly to the home of someone living with dementia. Hospital Sessions - We run music sessions in older people's wards
  • with a particular focus on those patients living with dementia. Residential Homes - We can offer one-off sessions or regular visits. Community Dementia Groups - We can offer one-off group sessions for dementia cafes
  • memory groups etc
