Just a little reminder that the 80 candles Quilt will be on display at Brailsford Methodist Church THIS WEEKEND!
WHEN: Saturday 29th March
WHERE: Brailsford Methodist Church, Main Road, Brailsford DE6
WHAT TIME: 2pm -4pm
Not only will The 80 Candles Quilt be on display, but there will also be tea, coffee and cake and hopefully lots of project participants to share the stories contained within the quilt with visitors. Please bring family & friends along, share details with anyone you can think of and like and share posts on my socials. (Donations of cakes also very welcome, just let me know so I can plan what to bring myself!)
This event is to fundraise towards the publication of a book to accompany the project. Project participant Naomi Feldman has been diligently writing up all of your research and we will be working on it together over the coming months.
A BIG SURPRISE for Quilts of Connection participants…..that will also be on display!!!! The Museum of Making have now formally accessioned the quilt into their collection (at last!) and have very kindly loaned it back to me to share with participants before it goes on display in the Museum some time later the year.
