I create immersive, soulful and joyful paintings. My work is inspired by nature and created with embodiment.
My paintings start in the visceral with pure emotion laid out on canvas. I often use my hands, imbuing my vulnerability and energy within the work. As I release any tension I experience a transformation into joy as I play with colour. Every mark is an act of letting go, of accepting the present moment and embracing authenticity.
This raw expression I then contain within natural forms or transform into imagined landscapes. This is a healing process, learning to accept and express the full experience of being human and then finding ways to contain it that allow for beauty and celebration.
I aim to make work that creates more meaningful spaces that brings calm mindfulness and fuels connection.
