I am a contemporary artist who paints in oils. I use line and colour to express my relationship to my subjects. My work is influenced by expressionism and cubism, particularly by artists such as Matisse, Vlaminck and Cezanne. My subjects are varied although I often paint subjects from the natural world reflecting my rural upbringing.
