It’s been a great year for Derby Book Festival, and what better way to celebrate than at their Autumn Edition. This year, they have events taking place from November 14th – 19th and as always, there’s something for everyone. If you can’t make it in-person, they have recorded options available, so you can catch up from the comfort of home.
Derby Book Festival have got a great line-up of children’s events including a session with the author and illustrator of Thunderboots – this year’s Derby Children’s Picture Book Award winner. There are two fantastic dance workshops with Dance with Rosy, your little ones can also design their own monster with Pippa Curnick, and be inspired by Izzy Gizmo at the Museum of Making.
In partnership with Derby University, their free CivicLAB events are back and covering a wide range of topics including Dracula and the menopause. But that’s not all! Cecelia Ahern – the author behind Ps I Love You – will join them at QUAD, as will authors discussing everything from Brian Clough to Keir Starmer, politics, the modern countryside, childhood books, thrillers, graffiti, true crime, biography and more!
Pick up your copy of the Festival Programme from your local library or any of their partner venues across Derby. You can book tickets for all events online via www.derbybookfestival.co.uk.
