Derbyshire Open Arts 2025

Event details

Saturday 24th to Monday 26th May 2025, 10.00-4.00 each day

245 artists exhibiting in 68 venues countywide

Derbyshire Open Arts has been a key part of the county’s arts scene since 2006. Taking place over the late spring Bank Holiday in venues across the whole county, you’ll never be far from some fabulous local artists and makers who are itching to show you their latest work.

Some artists choose to exhibit in their own studios or homes – visit them to get a real taste of how and where they work. They will always be keen to show you!

Others group together in venues so that you can visit several in one go. This year, we’ve got venues that are old favourites and some exciting new ones.

Every venue is free to enter, and you can often pick up home-made refreshments as well – many sold to raise funds for local charities.

You can find out more about every venue and all the artists in the full-colour brochure that is distributed widely across the county and beyond. Look for it in libraries, tourist information boxes and many more places like cafes, galleries and community centres.

Every artist has their own page on our website where you can see images of their work along with links to their websites, shops and social media pages. Each one has full directions and maps to help you find them, plus what3words which is great for hard-to-find places.

The website will also let you save your favourite artists and create walking, cycling or driving trails so that you can plan your own day out easily.
