Festivity Artist Showcase – Tapton Lock

For the penultimate part of the festivity tour, we are working with our amazing partners – Junction Arts as part of their annual festival at Tapton Lock.

This family-based festival has the perfect waterfront setting to present Festivity. Festivity is a vibrant countywide tour celebrating the incredible talents of Derbyshire’s musicians, poets, dancers, visual artists, screen-based installations and storytellers.

Arts Derbyshire has teamed up with the Tent People to create a magical mini tented village to showcase the best of Derbyshire. Public arts workshops will be delivered over the weekend by a local arts organisation from Chesterfield (TBC).

Arts workshops will be delivered over the weekend by a local arts organisation, Junction Arts, and another local arts organisation Adverse Camber will lead storytelling sessions throughout the two days. Derby Poetry Festival will also be curating a line up of spoken word artists.

There will be a different performing artist lineup for each tour venue. The musicians for the Tapton Lock event are Michael Vickers who will be performing on the 6^th of September and Sarah Hinds who will be performing on the 7^th of September
