Event information

Robert Burns was born in Alloway, Scotland, in 1759. He was a bard and wrote many poems, lyrics and other work addressing political and civil issues. Despite his young age when he died he is known the world over and a Scottish cultural icon. Perhaps his most well-known work is Auld Lang Syne.
